8 WAYS TO WEAR YOUR HAIR IN SUMMER

Because those long locks shouldn't sweat the wrong way

This week, the short fluttery skirts can come out of the closet, the legs can still receive a drop of color (see here tips for if you're still miss milk bottle) and the sunscreen can be pulled out in large bottles. The sun is finally here! And so I tell you here how to handle that 83 degrees make-up-wise and present some hairstyles that can beat that heat. At least you won't have to deal with sweat-soaked locks hanging down your face, but you'll just have a hairstyle that can totally handle the summer heat.

Beat it with boho

Dreadlocks are quite intense to do as a summer hairstyle for just a day, but you can also go for a one-day-alternative. With a good salt spray, you can make your hair a bit coarser and thus twist the locks more easily.

Hair accessories

Swinging your hair out of your face? That can be done in a very cheerful way. Think of headbands with a bow, tiaras full of glitter and parrots and other embellishments. It gives an instant upgrade and ensures that no hair blows into your face.

Bobby pins

Backstage at the shows, bobby pins are in high demand. Often used as a solution to keep hair out of the face to properly powder the makeup. But at the shows of Ferreti and Rodarte, the bobby pins were allowed to stay and were a huge part of the look. So it's quite permissible to work your hair out of your face. The masters have said so after all.

Topknot

Creating a good bun is quite an art. The simpler it is, the harder it actually is. At Balmain, you saw incredibly tight ballerina buns parading on heads, and you can bet that a good hairspray was involved. At Isola Marras, a touch of art was added, as the scarves were incorporated into the creative bun. So you can't just get away with a simple bun this summer; it needs a significant upgrade.

Twist it

Bangs? Yes, there you have it. Those will become those sweaty, sticky strands on your forehead. So you can easily twist them away. Take some bobby pins in hand, twist a strand to the side, back, or wherever, and you have a totally new twisted look.

Braid parade

This summer, no braid is too much. The only motto is that everything can be super tight. They can go in any direction you want, and the amount can be quite large, but it all has to be incredibly tightly braided.

Wet look

This look works great if, for example, you just come bouncing out of the water. In the past, really in the past, I had a very eighties feeling about this and thought it was all a greasy affair. But that has long since connected itself to the 2020 style. The wet look has taken a completely new direction and has become an approved trend that we can still rely on for a few years. Combine the wet look (so a bit of wax and quite a bit of gel) with the twist-it trend or a good braid, and you'll blow everyone off the boulevard.

Side braid

Also nice, a natural headband. You can easily create this yourself by making a braid on your forehead. Take a look here but just how to achieve that.
