THE BRUSH ABC
Good tools are half the work, also for the makeup mirror, girlfriend. Do you apply a dab of foundation on your beautiful face every day or do you regularly conjure up some color from a pot on your nose? Then there are a number of brushes you definitely can't do without. So today a lesson on brushes. Which brush do you use for which product?
1. Foundation
The foundation brush is often flat with long, smooth, and synthetic bristles. By working with short quick strokes, you can apply the foundation evenly. As long as you clean the brush weekly, this is a very hygienic way to apply foundation.
2. Powder
The most famous brush in beauty land is the large soft powder brush. The brush bends easily and is so large that it can cover your entire face with a few swipes. Easy and quick.
One of my holy pots in my makeup bag is definitely the concealer. Dark circles, pimples, and spots disappear like snow in the sun, as long as you apply it correctly. For years I applied the essential product with my fingers. Until I discovered the concealer brush and realized that you can apply your concealer much more evenly and flawlessly this way. Pat the concealer with your fingertips and voilà, an even skin tone is guaranteed.
4. Bronzer
The bronzer brush looks like the powder brush. But definitely do not use the same one, unless you want to look like a seasoned tanning bed user. When applying a good bronzer, the goal is to create a subtle brown touch. You do this by applying as little pressure as possible on the brush and placing the accent just below your cheekbones. Remember: less is more. We don't want to create a tanning bed face.
A good blush brush has a round top so you can work on the apple of your cheek well, creating a beautiful gradual blush on your cheeks. Essential for a healthy glow on your cheeks.
6. Eyeshadow
For the eyes, a brush with a round top is also a must. This way you distribute the eyeshadow well over your entire eyelid.
7. Blending brush
To make your smoky eye look a bit softer, a blending brush is indispensable. But also to create a fresh look and apply a soft pastel shade just under the eyebrow, you need this brush.
8. Smudge
For a sultry rock ’n roll look, this is the must-have. With this brush, you blend your pencil line to a slightly softer appearance.
9. Eyebrow brush
Okay, not a brush, but definitely an indispensable tool in your beauty corner. Especially if you are blessed with a good set of brows above your Bambi eyes. With this little brush, you tame your eyebrows and comb them in the right direction.
