The TV season is back onnn
And this is what Kiek is watching
Dingdong, September is calling. Do you know what that means? Evenings spent in front of the TV, because the new television season is in full swing. I've stocked up on popcorn and these are the shows I'm tuning into:
1. Risky Rivers
Pair well-known Dutch people in teams, send them abroad, and let them try to conquer the world's most dangerous rivers. Think of it as the most dangerous roads in the Netherlands, but just a little different. Bonus points: my boy Dave Roelvink together with model Kim Feenstra in a team. Want. To. See.
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Monday at 20:25 on NPO 3.
2. Much love from Holland
Are you a Boer Zoekt Vrouw fan? Great, just add this to your watchlist. The show follows ten Dutch expats spread across the globe. They all have one thing in common, and that is that they all have a successful career. In love, however, things are just a little less smooth, and that's where Nicolette van Dam comes to the rescue.
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Tuesday at 20:30 on Net5.
3. Crown Witnesses
Why are we watching this? Monica Geuze and Bram Moszkowicz, need I say more? Okay, a little bit then. Nine Dutch celebrities try to solve a so-called murder in the Swedish village of Öregrund. One of the participants knows who the murderer is, but has received 20 thousand euros to sabotage the whole thing. And one must do something in the absence of a new season of Who is the Mole?
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Saturday at 20:30 on RTL 4.
4. Holland's Next Top Model
Totally new faces this year. Anna Nooshin as the presenter and even the format has changed: the girls compete against the boys. I checked it out, and aside from a lot of hysteria, I must say it is quite entertaining.
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Monday at 20:30 on RTL5.
5. Models In Paris: The Real Life
Where Holland's Next Top Model ends, Models In Paris continues. In the series, you follow six models trying to break through in Paris. What does a model's life really look like? And what is it like to go through dozens of castings and face rejection after rejection?
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Monday at 21:30 on RTL5.
6. Tin Star
A thrilling story about revenge, money, and a dark past. I already mentioned it here. The good news? The premiere was last week, so there's still plenty of time to catch up on that one episode and then keep going from there. I am genuinely in love with this show. And with the brilliant actor Tim Roth.
Who, what, where, what time?
Every Thursday at 21:00 on BBC First.
